EATING: Just went to dinner at Wilko with my BFF Bryan. I had half of a grilled cheese and a green salad, then I brought the rest home for my mum to eat. Now I am being kind of bad and having some graham crackers and homemade frosting with some tea. Yummm
WATCHING: Brothers and Sisters with my mom. Eck. I'm not into soap opera-y things, but it's her favorite show. So be it. Jackie and I went to see Super at the Loft. In three words, it was awful. Absolutely awful. Too violent, unnecessary everything. It was masturbatory. Silly filmmakers. And silly Rainn Wilson, Ellen Page, Liv Tyler and Kevin Bacon. I expected more from you four.
OBSESSING: This is a weird statement for me, but I don't think I am obsessing over anything right now. And I usually am. I guess I am obsessing about being a little nervous about the end of college and everything. It's scary, isn't it? What the heck am I going to do or be or anything? Oy vey. I am trying to channel my energy into a more positive happy excitement than anything negative or "scared"-like.
WEARING: Pajamas!
TODAY: Got up at 6:30, went to Whole Foods with Jackie to get smoothies, then to the gym. After a quick workout, we headed to Bentley's to write papers. What up, 10 page paper? (Don't be too impressed, it was just a compilation of two other papers I had written in the class). Then I came home, made a very bizarre recipe for guacamole that calls for a can of peas and an avocado instead of two avocados... weird, and not as good. Then Jackie and I saw Super, which as I said before, was SUPER not good. Then dinner with Bryan, etc. etc.
I'm going to go and read Something Borrowed and sleep. Mum and I have a very busy day tomorrow... coffee, tennis, dim sum. Then I have to visit my Gram and see FLEET FOXES!!!!

Friday
I saw someone use this format on their tumblr post and I thought it was such a great way to get thoughts rolling.
EATING: Well, I am drinking some coffee from Harry & David. Vanilla Creme Brulee! I had a worm in one of my apples the other day, so I called them and they sent me coffee. Good trade, me thinks.
READING: Reading Something Borrowed. Trying to get it done before my movie date with Alison, my mom, and Connie. I am in love with it. I seriously can't wait to be head over heels gooey in love.
OBSESSING: Sex & the City. A never ending love affair. I am digging the syndicated version on E! Super edited, but still utterly delightful.
LISTENING: Adele pandora. Though it's playing Regina Spektor right now.
WEARING: black yoga pants, my mom's old t-shirt with a mai tai on the front of it, my hair piled on my head with a clip, and my glasses. My eye is bothering me. Waiting for it to calm the heck down.
TODAY: Got up at 6 and went to the gym. The spinning machines have awesome videos on them, I am super impressed. Then I went to Michael's to get some crafty things to make a Mother's Day present. Watched some SATC, cleaned the house, now preparing to go and see Thor with my mum. Super hungry, going to eat a pear. I am very successfully avoiding my paper. Nice work. Might as well procrastinate, as it is my second to last paper... and it's not due till Monday. I mean, it's only ten pages long, how hard could it be?

Dela
Darwin went really well last night, one of our best shows ever I heard from several people. I had such a blast. Of course it was a little sad being on stage for the last time with all of my best friends, but sometimes good things need to end for other good things to start. So deep. I played New York City 5 Years Ago, LOW, Interrogation and Five Person Jam with all the seniors. As soon as our homegirl Caitlin puts them up on youTube I will post some on here. They are well worth your time.
A handful of us went to the Auld Dubliner last night, Harrison with his fake. I have never seen someone so on top of things. He clearly does not look like his picture, yet when quizzed he knew all the information and also his id's astrological sign. It was astounding. Harrison's my hero. We all had a couple drinks (not me, just a cranberry vodka... or cranka, I just came up with that). Then I went home on my happy Darwin high to pass out.
I had my International Film and Television Business exam this morning. Not too bad. I think I'm pretty set with an A in the class, so I am not too worried about it. My Natural Disasters class is a whole other issue, don't even ask.
I am listening to Johnny Clegg's "Dela" from George of the Jungle. Here's a link.

One of my all-time favorite songs EVER. I can't say enough good things.
I think I'll grab some food before my Branding Cable Networks class, which is my LAST. What up.
Alright, kisses everybody. Especially Bryan. I love that kid more than anything. Best friend I could ever have. I'm going to miss him when I head to Cali. Until him and I reunite...

Not Second to Last
The Tuesday has come, the Tuesday of my last Darwin show. I am eating a commemorative banana in its honor. So weird that I have come full circle with everything. I vividly remember attending my first Darwin show my freshman year, not knowing that I would one day be lucky enough to be up on stage with everyone who I admire so much.
I don't know where I would be without CDE in my life. I owe it everything, my best friends, my confidence, all of the laughs and fun experiences. It has made my four years in college digestible. I love everyone so much, including the audiences that have been there every Tuesday with a big smile on their face. It's going to be a weird but happy night tonight, saying a final goodbye to the Gallagher stage.
In other news, I am fairly certain that I have a fever. And no, that was not a set-up for a reference to Christopher Walken. I actually have a legit fever. My plan is to go home, eat lunch, study for my International Film and Television Business exam tomorrow morning, watch Sex and the City, read a couple chapters in Something Borrowed, eat an artichoke for dinner and try to fit in a nap somewhere. Oh, and also make cookies for those lovely Darwins who have enjoyed my cookies over the last couple years.
I hope I feel better for tonight. I think it may have to do with all those ions rushing around in the air. The wind has been ridiculous these past two days. The wind was rudely blowing against me yesterday as I rode my bike home. I looked insane. Hair flying wildly behind me, as my hair tie had fallen out of my jean pocket. Gripping the handles so I wouldn't fly away with the wind. People were walking as fast as my bike was going. Simply ridiculous. I got home drenched in sweat. Silly Tucson. You know I am not used to that sort of thing, neither should I be--- I live in Tucson. I only know dry heat or dry cold. And certainly never intense Chicago reminiscent wind. I bite my thumb at thee.
Well, time for class. My last Tuesday/Thursday day. Huzzah.

Troop Beverly Hills
It's official. I have an internship in Beverly Hills starting in June.
I'm still in a very happy shock. This is such a big deal for me. The kind of thing I have been waiting for, working for, thinking about, dreaming about. I am going to have a college degree and a foot in the door.
Honestly, I am so lucky and blessed. I will be working with a great little improv company, basically as a production assistant, doing whatever it is they want me to do. What a crazy opportunity though--- improv, Beverly Hills, producing job, great people. I'm thrilled.
I thought this might be a good time to start writing again. I always have so many thoughts and they often just get lost in my brain. So I'm going to put some of the good ones here.
Mums and I went to Starbucks to celebrate, it was delightful. I am headed to the gym with my friend Jackie in a bit, too. I'm getting a little nervous about it all, especially "looking the part" in LA. I am surely not a large person, but I can't help but think I may stick out a bit amongst all the... well, sticks. I keep thinking about the scene from Knocked Up.
Here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cvP7cnmxlLM
So I'm off to the gym to "tightennnnnn". Wish me luck. Then I just have to have a couple of grains of rice for dinner and an apple and I'll be good to go.
